Award-winning sound from your GM vehicle's Ethernet infotainment network!
The Zen AVB-GM is a network preamp for GM vehicles using automotive Ethernet networking. (For application information, see "Vehicle Compatibility" below). The Zen AVB makes your vehicle's OEM infotainment system sound like a high-end audiophile head unit!
The Zen AVB delivers six channels of pure unprocessed analog audio (front left/right, rear left/right, subwoofer), or two stereo channels of SPDIF digital audio (available over TOSLINK fiber-optic). The Zen AVB uses the same digital processing as the competition-proven M650-GM.
- Audiophile components and D/A converters
- Clean, clear audio signals - without OEM processing
- Elimination of Automatic Noise Cancelling feedback (if present)
- Deletion of "fake exhaust" signal injection (if present)
- Great phone-call soundΒ
NOTE: With the Zen AVB, the factory amplifier will need to be removed from the infotainment system.

Additional Product Information
Details
The Zen AVB-GM is the most important element in any compatible-vehicle sound-system upgrade.
The Zen AVB-GM provides pure, clean stereo audio - it eliminates all OEM crossover filters, fixed and dynamic EQ, phase manipulation, compression, etc. It is both a high-quality digital-to-analog converter and an audiophile analog preamp - the OEM analog signal path is eliminated. in home audio terms, it is a standalone D/A converter and audiophile preamp, connected to the OEM infotainment system via a proprietary digital network connection. For more information on networked preamps, see this Knowledgebase article.
Any Automatic Noise Cancelling systems are automatically disabled (if present), as is any "fake exhaust" note added to the sound output signal.
The Zen AVB-GM has both high-quality analog RCA outputs and digital SPDIF outputs.
See Vehicle Compatibility below for application information.
