Award-winning sound from your Ferrari's MOST 150 infotainment network!
The Zen F is a network preamp for compatible Ferrari models with a MOST 150 fiber-optic amplified sound system. (See Vehicle Compatibility below for specific applications.)
The Zen F delivers six channels of pure unprocessed analog audio (front left/right, rear left/right, subwoofer), or two stereo channels of SPDIF digital audio (available over TOSLINK fiber-optic). The Zen F uses the same digital processing as the competition-proven M650-GM.
- Audiophile components and D/A converters
- Clean, clear audio signals - without OEM processing
- Elimination of Automatic Noise Cancelling feedback
- Deletion of "fake exhaust" signal injection
- Great phone-call sound
NOTE: With the Zen F the factory amplifier will need to be removed from the infotainment system.

Additional Product Information
Details
The Zen F is the most important element in any compatible Ferrari sound-system upgrade!
The Zen F provides pure, clean stereo audio - it eliminates all OEM crossover filters, fixed and dynamic EQ, phase manipulation, compression, etc. It is both a high-quality digital-to-analog converter and an audiophile analog preamp - the OEM analog signal path is eliminated. in home audio terms, it is a standalone D/A converter and audiophile preamp, connected to the OEM infotainment system via a proprietary digital network connection. For more information on networked preamps, see this Knowledgebase article.

Any Automatic Noise Cancelling systems are automatically disabled (if present), as is any "fake exhaust" note added to the sound output signal.
The Zen F has both high-resolution analog RCA and digital SPDIF outputs.
See Vehicle Compatibility below for application information.

Use Cases
Here is a basic diagram of a MOST 150 sound system. In many cases there are other devices in the MOST 150 "loop".

Use Case #1 - Analog RCA outputs
The RCA outputs can be routed to a new aftermarket amplifier, to a DSP processor, or to an amplifier with a DSP processor built in. This diagram shows the Zen V, but the Zen F functions in the same manner:

NOTE: RCA #6, 5.1 Center, is only active when playing 5.1 sources with discrete center-channel content in OEM systems which support it. It is NOT a upmixed output!
NOTE: Subwoofer Level can be controlled via the head unit’s bass tone control - see DIP SWITCHES, P. 13 of the manual.
NOTE: The blue wire will output 12V(+) when a door is unlocked or opened.
Use Case #2 - Toslink SPDIF digital output
The Toslink output can be routed to a device with a Toslink input, such as many DSP processors or many amplifiers with a DSP processor built in. is diagram shows the Zen V, but the Zen F functions in the same manner:

NOTE: Head Unit Front/Rear Fade function and Subwoofer Level from Bass Tone Control function are not available with Toslink outputs.

FAQs
How many channels does the Zen F have?
This network preamp has six analog RCA outputs, and one stereo TOSLINK SPDIF output.
The Toslink input requires a device with a Toslink input, and does not support the OEM front/rear fader function.
What makes this preamp sound so good?
Some of that is the Zen Audio network preamp technology (more on that here), and some of it is the audiophile-grade D/A converters and op-amps used in the signal path.
What cars does it work in?
Specific Ferraris. For coverage specifics, see the Vehicle Compatibility tab.
