The ZEN 25 is a network preamp and a DSP processor, compatible specifically with BMWs using MOST 25. BMW used MOST 25 on models over a wide range of years, and the Zen 25 covers 2004-2019 BMW with 677, 688, and 752 audio (see below for coverage specifics). Once the pure uncompressed 2-channel audio is extracted from the infotainment network, the Zen 25's DSP section can filter, equalize, level match, and delay the signal as needed. Zen 25 monitors the MOST network and applies volume control, front/rear fade (analog only), balance, treble, bass control, and the factory 7-band EQ! Chimes, alerts, and phone call audio are all integrated into the system.

ZEN-25 includes a Toslink SPDIF output and 12 analog RCA output channels, with 6V RMS and a signal-to-noise ratio of 114dB.

Details
Please note that for plug-and-play operation, the vehicle must have a premium sound package MOST 25 amplifier. This means the BMW must have S677 Logic 7, S688 h/k, B&O, or S752 Individual Audio.
NOTE: If the vehicle lacks a premium sound package with a MOST 25 amplifier, it is technically possible to recode some BMW head units to enable MOST 25 networking. For example, if your BMW lists S677, S688, or S752 audio, there is an active MOST 25 network present at the nine-channel DSP amplifier. If your BMW lists S676 HiFi - or no sound package at all - there is no MOST 25 network amplifier in the system, and the vehicle would have to be retrofitted and recoded to support a MOST 25 amplifier for this Zen Audio product to work successfully. MOST 25 cabling will also have to be installed between the head unit and the Zen device.
Please note that such vehicle recoding is the responsibility of the installer and is not something Nav-TV can perform on behalf of the installer.

What makes this preamp sound so good?
Some of that is the Zen Audio network preamp technology (more on that here), and some of it is the audiophile-grade D/A converters and op-amps used in the signal path. This preamp was part of a world-champion award-winning sound system!
Does it work in all BMW?
It works in specific BMW vehicles that use the MOST 25 infotainment network technology. Please see the Vehicle Compatibility tab for specific coverage information.
Does it work in MOST 25 vehicles that are not BMW?
No, it does not. For those vehicles, please check the compatability listings for the Mobridge DA-G2 Pro (for DSP) or the Mobridge DA1 or DA-G2 Standard (without DSP). Note that the DA1 has only a Toslink stereo SPDIF output - for analog RCA outputs, use the DA-G2 Standard.

You may cancel your order without penalty prior to the product shipping.
Products cancelled or refused after the product has shipped will incur shipping and handling charges as well as a 20% restocking fee.
We will accept returns of eligible items within 30 days of your receipt. Exchanges are also accepted during the 30-day window, and may occur at Nav-TV’s discretion during the warranty period. Products returned within the first 30 days after purchase ,and are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Products must be new, unused and in their original packaging to qualify for a refund.
Please visit the Nav-TV or Zen audio website to start a return or exchange. The order number provided in your confirmation email is required in order to process the return.
If you believe you have received a defective product, please contact Technical Support to initiate an exchange. Technical Support will work with you to determine next steps. Upon our receipt of the product and confirmation of defect as determined by our inspection, we will provide an exchange unit. Please see our Warranty policy here.
Returned product must be in new and unused condition. The order number provided in your confirmation email is required in order to process the return. Any shipping and handling fees will not be refunded. You will be responsible for return shipping costs. Upon our receipt of the product in unused/resalable condition as determined by our inspection, we will issue a refund to the credit method used to make the purchase.
